Grief as kid drowns in bucket

A family in Manga Borabu, Nyamira County is in grief after a one-year old kid drowned in a bucket of water.


The child is said to have been Playing outside his grandmother's house where he came across a bucket that was half full with water.

The minor, according to Nyamira County Police Commander Grace Kakai, died as after he accidentally lost control while inserting the head into the bucket.

It was around 1pm and the kid was playing with water that was in the bucket. The grandmother who was inside only heard a cry and upon rushing to see what the distress was, she found the baby had already died in the water," Ms Kakai said.

She said Police visited the home and assessed the scene of the incident.

"Crime scene investigations visited the home and compiled facts that will help us to invetigate the incident further," Kakai added.
